Prompt attention (waiting time before seeing the doctor) and Confidentiality (talking privately to the provider) were not correlated with overall satisfaction. The treatment outcome focus, and weak interpersonal primary care aspects, in overall patient satisfaction, pose barriers towards a patient-centered transformation of China’s primary care rural clinics, but support the focus of improving the clinical competency of rural primary care workers]]> Wed 26 Oct 2022 14:11:20 AEDT ]]> Pathologic complete response (pCR) and survival of women with inflammatory breast cancer (IBC): an analysis based on biologic subtypes and demographic characteristics https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45020 +/HER 2- , HR+/HER2+ , HR-/HER 2+, HR-/HER2-). On average, women were 56 years of age at diagnosis and were followed for a median of 3.7 years. The majority were white (80%), had private health insurance (50%), and presented with poorly differentiated tumors (57%). Approximately 46% of the cancers were >5 cm. Most patients underwent mastectomy (94%) and received radiotherapy (71%). Differences by biologic subtypes were observed for grade, lymph node invasion, race, and tumor size (p < 0.0001). Patients experiencing pathologic complete response (pCR, 12%) vs. non-pCR had superior 5-year overall survival (OS) (77% vs. 54%) (p < 0.0001). Survival was poor for triple-negative (TN) tumors (37%) vs. other biologic subtypes (60%) (p < 0.0001). On multivariable analysis, TN-IBC, positive margins, and not receiving either chemotherapy, hormonal therapy or radiotherapy were independently associated with poor 5-year survival (p < 0.0001). In this analysis of IBC, categorized by biologic subtypes, we observed significant differential tumor, patient and treatment characteristics, and OS.]]> Wed 26 Oct 2022 10:17:30 AEDT ]]> Investigation of linear and nonlinear properties of a heartbeat time series using multiscale Rényi entropy https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45161 RR intervals. When quantified using an entropy measure, these time series show statistically significant differences between disease classes of Normal, Early CAN and Definite CAN. In addition, pathophysiological characteristics of heartbeat dynamics provide information not only on the change in the system using the first difference but also the magnitude and direction of the change measured by the second difference (acceleration) with respect to sequence length. These additional measures provide disease categories to be discriminated and could prove useful for non-invasive diagnosis and understanding changes in heart rhythm associated with CAN.]]> Thu 27 Oct 2022 14:52:12 AEDT ]]> IPEAT+: a built-in optimization and automatic calibration tool of SWAT+ https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45149 Thu 27 Oct 2022 14:34:48 AEDT ]]> Integrating smoking cessation care into a medically supervised injecting facility using an organizational change intervention: a qualitative study of staff and client views https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:37413 Thu 12 Nov 2020 17:03:51 AEDT ]]> Targeting apoptotic pathways in acute myeloid leukaemia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44081 Thu 06 Oct 2022 15:06:26 AEDT ]]> The role of reactive oxygen species in acute myeloid leukaemia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38669 Mon 13 Dec 2021 16:34:15 AEDT ]]>
